I have become fascinated with the effects of machine sewing over watercolour paintings.
Sometimes the sewing enhances the original watercolour. Sometimes it defines it.
But always it adds the most wonderful texture to the work.
And lately I have been experimenting with layering watercolour with masking fluid, then adding the sewing. Don’t you love how these nests have depth and texture?
All my works are original and for sale (although some of these have been sold).
