Running a little late with this post, but I do have progress to report 😇

Last time I was here, musing about how to finish off the work.

So, that last little section to go, and a bit to tidy up around the top. Almost there.

Pauline, I love your comment, but really all I do is go up and down until I finish the thread. Sometimes I go over parts I have already done, rather like layering paint. It is very random.

Thanks Gun. I seem to have been working on it for ages, but really it has been sitting beside me for ages! Once I start sewing it is quite quick. So, I must get back to it tonight.

I love the idea of using it where the texture can be felt as well as looked at. I find it very hard to resist picking up textured things and feeling or stroking them – gets me into bother sometimes! Sometimes, especially with wooden items I smell them too! Very impolite!

Beautifulwork. Makes me want to reach ourt and stroke it. The UK government is hopeless, they are loosening our lockdown with very little in terms of contact tracing, or testing put in place. Waiting for the next spike in infections in the next few weeks. Thankfully we live in Wales, where we are sticking to the “Stay at Home” message but I don’t know how well it will stick in the face of the confusion caused by Boris Johnson and his pals. We have the second highest death toll but they frame it as “apparent success” – when its an absolute disaster.

That second wave of infections is a great worry. It is so tempting, as things loosen, to believe that we don’t need to be careful. However, in some ways now is even more dangerous, especially if the contract tracing is not high class.
Thanks for the comment about the embroidery. It is good to stroke!

Oh, thank you for that Lynne. I wanted to keep the palette controlled, basically to dark, mid and light tones. As for presenting it, I am thinking about making it into a cushion….maybe.
