Oh dear…..

I do most of my “work” on my main computer. Uploading photos, listing items in my Etsy shop and creating blog posts are all tasks that are easier on it than using the iPad. WordPress certainly doesn’t work well on the iPad . (I have just had an example of that. While trying to rearrange a sentence the cursor played up and the easiest way to fix it was to minimise the keyboard. Easy enough to do, but frustrating when it happens frequently.)

But yesterday the Big Computer decided that it needed a rest, freezing when I tried to boot it up. Today it is at the service centre, probably needing a new hard drive. 😦

I had extravagant plans of blogging about a workshop I went on last week, with photos of what I learnt. Unfortunately you will just have to wait until I get the Big Computer sorted, because adding photos without it is more than I can cope with! (Been there, done that, on the iPad — frustration levels way too high!)

Fortunately there are a couple of posts that I had prepared earlier. Just hope they don’t need too much editing!

That is certainly true, and sums up my feelings exactly!

Yes, it is fixed now. It wasn’t a new hard drive, so that is a relief. However, it is getting rather old, so I may be looking at replacing it at some point soonish.

BTW I love your Free Library. How is it going?

I’m so glad it’s fixed for now. It’s amazing how quickly a computer becomes obsolete.

Thanks for asking about the Little Free Library. Its been great fun seeing people stop by. The children’s books go quickly which is great. I’m hoping as word gets around, more and more books will make it into the library. I’ve had lovely contributions from friends and neighbors. Whenever I check, I see new books. That’s exciting, too.

It is obviously taking off! Isn’t it nice to know that people still want books, and treasure them enough to share them around. I would like to do something similar, but is it way on the back burner at the moment….

I hope you will one day. I think you’ll enjoy it.

We had this debate at dinner tonight. My 13 year old is sold on electronic reading. My 16 year old and I still prefer books. My husband can go either way. We certainly read blogs online, but I can’t imagine ever giving up a book.
